"La Mentuccia" is near Via Santacroce 100 in the area of Cantalice called Capolaterra. The GPS coordinates of the farmhouse are: 42.466260, 12.914465 (house number can be inconsistent in small villages). The B&B enjoys a perfect location because it is at 10 km from Rieti and 14 Km from Terminillo, 5 Km from Poggio Bustone, 11 Km from Cittaducale and 35 Km from Terni. This particular position makes "La Mentuccia" the ideal place for the pilgrim who wants to fully experience the Saint Francis way, without giving up visiting the city of Rieti and the mount Terminillo. Our B&B is also particularly suited for the winter period because it allows you to enjoy Terminillo's snow during the day and the vitality of Rieti's nightlife.

We can pick you up from the Rieti train station if you do not have a car. However, we suggest you to rent a car in order to easily move around. We can send you the addresses of a few car rental services that may work for you. There are two ways to reach our B&B, here you can find the details.

Vazia-Cantalice-Capolaterra: from Vazia you should follow the route to Cantalice through Via Cantalice and reach the higher part (Via del Castello, Madonna della Pace). From there you should continue uphill through Via della Resistenza towards Capolaterra and Santa Croce. You can check on Google map, setting starting point as "Vazia, 02100 Province of Rieti" and arrival point as "Via Santa Croce, 100, 02014 Santa Croce RI". Here a link.

Vazia-Lisciano-Capolaterra: from Vazia you can continue towards Terminillo on the Strada Statale 4, then turn left following the road to Capolaterra and Santa Croce. A way to identify the crossroad is to look for a roman column placed on the left side of the road. Here a link.

Public transport

To reach Cantalice there is a bus of the company COTRAL or a bus of the urban line ASM (134 Rieti - Lisciano) that starts from Piazza Cavour in Rieti and arrives at Lisciano. Please check the websites for additional details.
